A little over a week ago a well respected and highly talented landscape photographer, Marc Elliott, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Unfortunately he received life changing injuries, including the loss of one of his legs. As a self employed family man there has been some worries in his young family about how things are going to be paid for over the coming months, but his good friend Jon Gibbs has come up with a way to help them out.
He decided to set up a print auction, asking anyone who would like to help to send him a photo they would like to donate. I sent Jon over one of my favourite recent images and I’m over the moon that it will be auctioned to help out a fellow photographer in this difficult time.
The auction will be running from today through until the 16th August, and the highest bidder will be lucky enough to receive one of the many prints on offer from some fantastic photographers.
To read the full low down on what is going on you can check out Jon’s website by clicking here.
I am offering my image “Opium Poppies” as a Hahnemühle fine art print 48cm x 27cm on 50cm x 29cm paper.
I hope you will all take the time to have a look at the images on offer, and if you’re feeling generous, consider making an offer on some of the lovely images.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
