An oppurtunity to head over to Treasure Island around sunset was too good to miss. It's probably one of the best places to get a shot of the San Francisco skyline, along with the Bay Bridge. The fog was rolling in from the right in this shot, but the colours were still doing their best to shine through. This is the only 'golden hour' shot I managed from the city due to the fog, but it's definitely a favourite.

Early summer may not be one of the best months for photography, however in Yosemite I think you would be hard pushed to go wrong at any time of year! I knew getting here an hour or so before sunset would yield some nice light on both Cathedral Rocks to the right and El Capitan on the left. It was a shame to find a dead tree in the Merced River, but I decided to include it after some consideration and I think it gives a different element to a cliché view.
Mountains frame the rising sun perfectly, as the first light of the day strikes the dew covered grasses of Yosemite National Park.
